Pump Shafts
A pump shaft runs continuously in service, so its seal and bearing surfaces have to hold finish and stay concentric over a long body. We turn pump shafts up to 36 inches in diameter and 120 inches long, with threaded diameters, ground diameters for seals and bearings, ground tapers, and milled keyways.
Every shaft is built to print for new work, or reverse-engineered from a worn sample for equipment going back into service. We machine them in ferrous and nonferrous materials to suit the application.
